Messages when you sign in

A message in the appUpdated 7 October 2026

A short message on the sign-in screen tells you what went wrong. Most of them mean the connection dropped or the code is old.

Short answer

Check that you have Wi-Fi or mobile data. Use the code from the newest email only. Then try again.

The message appears on the sign-in screen, with a small circle in front of it. Here is what each one means.

  • Failed to send code We could not send the email. If a countdown shows under the code boxes, you asked less than a minute ago: the code you already have still works. Otherwise, check your connection and tap Continue again.
  • Invalid code The code is wrong, more than 10 minutes old, or a newer one was sent. Delete the digits and type the code from the newest email. If it is too old, tap Resend code.
  • Too many attempts. Please wait before trying again. After 5 wrong codes, wait 15 minutes. Then type the code from the newest email.
  • Could not finish signing in. Check your connection and try again. The app could not check your code, most often because the connection dropped. Check Wi-Fi or mobile data, delete the digits and type them again. If it fails again, tap Resend code for a new code.
  • We could not securely save your session on this device. Restart the app, then request a new code. Your code was right, but your phone could not keep your sign-in safely. Close Berceuse completely, open it again, and ask for a new code.
  • Apple sign-in failed The Apple window could not finish. Check your connection and tap Continue with Apple again.
  • Google sign-in failed The Google window could not finish. Check your connection and tap Continue with Google again.

If you close the Apple or Google window yourself, no message appears. You can try again.
