Sign in to SkipTube with email, Apple or Google

There is no password. You use a code we email you, or your Apple or Google account.

Short answer

When SkipTube asks, tap Continue with Apple, Continue with Google or Continue with email. With email, type your address, then the six digits we send.

When SkipTube asks you to sign in

SkipTube only asks when an action needs an account. That is when you save a video, follow a channel, vote, mark a sponsor, get Pro or restore a purchase.

The sign-in screen slides up over the screen you were on. Under SkipTube, a line tells you why it opened. For example Sign in to save videos. or Sign in to get Pro. It stays with your account.

You can also sign in from Settings: tap the card at the top, then Sign in on the SkipTube account row.

Under Continue securely there are three buttons:

  • Continue with Apple, when your iPhone offers it.
  • Continue with Google
  • Continue with email

A line says No password. We email you a 6-digit code. The same buttons work for a new account and for one you already have. Below them, a line says By continuing, you agree to our with links to the Terms of Use, the Sales Conditions and the Privacy Policy.

Three ways to sign in to SkipTube.

With your email

  1. Tap Continue with email.
  2. Type your email address in the box.
  3. Tap Continue. We send you an email with a six-digit code.
  4. Open the email and read the six digits.
  5. Go back to SkipTube and type them. You do not tap anything after the last digit. SkipTube checks the code by itself.

The code works for 10 minutes. If you typed the wrong address, tap Use a different email at the top, or Edit next to your address.

The code does not arrive

  1. Wait a minute.
  2. Look in your spam or junk folder, and in the other tabs of your mail app.
  3. Check the address on the code screen, letter by letter.
  4. Under the six boxes, a countdown runs for a minute. When it shows Resend code, tap it to get a new code.
  5. Use the code from the newest email.

With Apple or Google

  1. Tap Continue with Apple or Continue with Google.
  2. Apple or Google opens a small window.
  3. With Apple, confirm with Face ID. With Google, pick your Google account.
  4. You are back in SkipTube, signed in.

With Apple, SkipTube asks for your email only. It never asks for your name. If you close the window, nothing happens, and you can pick another way.

If you see a message

  • Failed to send code Check the address and your connection, then tap Continue again.
  • Invalid code The code is wrong, or more than 10 minutes old. Type it again, or ask for a new one.
  • Too many attempts. Please wait before trying again. After 5 wrong codes, wait 15 minutes, then ask for a new code.
  • Could not finish signing in. Check your connection and try again. Check your Wi-Fi or mobile data, then type the code again.
  • We could not securely save your session on this device. Restart the app, then request a new code. Close SkipTube completely, open it again and ask for a new code.
  • Apple sign-in failed or Google sign-in failed Try again, or use Continue with email.
