Restore your purchase

Step by step4 stepsUpdated 30 October 2026

On a new phone, sign in to the same SkipTube account and Pro comes back. Restore purchase is for when it does not.

Short answer

Sign in to the SkipTube account that has Pro. If Pro is still missing, tap a Pro button, then Restore purchase, under the big button.

SkipTube is for iPhone.

On a new phone

Pro belongs to your SkipTube account. Sign in to the same account on the new phone, and Pro comes back. You do not buy it again. SkipTube checks with the store each time you sign in.

If you are signed out, SkipTube is on the free plan, even if the phone bought Pro. Sign in first. See Sign in to SkipTube.

When you need Restore purchase

Use it when Pro does not come back by itself. The most common case is a purchase made while signed in to a different SkipTube account.

  1. Sign in to the SkipTube account that should have Pro.
  2. Open the Pro screen. Tap a Pro button, or tap Settings and then the banner Get SkipTube Pro.
  3. Under the big button, tap Restore purchase. While it works, it says Restoring…
  4. If you are signed out, SkipTube asks you to sign in. It says Sign in to restore your purchase.

There is no restore row in Settings. The link is on the Pro screens only.

What SkipTube tells you

  • Restored: Your purchase has been restored. Pro is on.
  • Purchase restored: SkipTube found the purchase but could not turn Pro on yet. The big button then says Finish activation. Tap it. See Finish the activation of Pro.
  • Nothing to restore: No purchase found for this account. Check that you are signed in to the account you meant, and that you are using the Apple Account that paid.
  • A message that says Could not restore purchases. See Could not restore purchases.

Pro moves to the account you are signed in to

A restore moves Pro to the account you are signed in to now. The other SkipTube account that had it goes back to the free plan. Pro is one purchase, so it can be on one account at a time.

Family Sharing

The Pro screen says Family Sharing is included: One payment, yours for good, no subscription. Family Sharing included. SkipTube does not treat a family member in any special way. It only checks the store for your account.

If someone in your family bought Pro, sign in to your own SkipTube account and tap Restore purchase. If SkipTube finds a purchase, Pro turns on. If it says Nothing to restore, SkipTube found none for that account.
