Ask Siri to play or pause Berceuse

Your hands are full. Say the sentence, Siri does the rest. Every sentence names Berceuse.

Short answer

Say "Hey Siri, play Berceuse" to hear your last mix again, "Hey Siri, pause Berceuse" to stop it, or "Hey Siri, stop Berceuse in 30 minutes" for a sleep timer. Always say the app's name.

Before you start

  • Siri works with Berceuse on iPhone only. The sentences below need iOS 17 or later.
  • You need to be signed in to Berceuse.
  • The first time something plays, your iPhone asks if Berceuse may use Siri. Allow it.

Each sentence starts with "Hey Siri" (or "Siri"), and always names Berceuse. Without the name, Siri may play a song called Berceuse from another app.

Play your last mix

  • "Play Berceuse"
  • "Resume my Berceuse"
  • "Start my Berceuse mix"
  • "Play my mix on Berceuse"
  • "Play a lullaby on Berceuse"

If a mix is already loaded, it starts again. Otherwise your last mix plays. Never played anything yet? Say "Surprise me on Berceuse" instead.

Pause

  • "Pause Berceuse"
  • "Stop Berceuse"
  • "Turn off Berceuse"
  • "Stop the music on Berceuse"

Play a playlist

  • "Play a playlist on Berceuse"
  • "Play [playlist name] on Berceuse"

Say the name of a Berceuse playlist, as the app shows it in your language. Siri finds it even if you say most of the name and not every word.

Play a style, a mood or a sound

  • "Play piano on Berceuse"
  • "Play something calm on Berceuse"
  • "Play rain on Berceuse"

Siri picks a mix with that style. You can say: piano, ambient, lo-fi, guitar, classical, strings, jazz, music box, calm, sleep, focus, baby, nap, relaxing, meditation, rain, ocean, white noise, fire, storm, nature, heartbeat.

Surprise me

  • "Surprise me on Berceuse"
  • "Play a random mix on Berceuse"
  • "Shuffle Berceuse"

Ask again to hear another mix.

Sleep timer

  • "Stop Berceuse in 30 minutes"
  • "Set a 15 minutes sleep timer on Berceuse"
  • "Turn off the sleep timer on Berceuse"

You can say 5, 10, 15 or 30 minutes, or 1 hour. If you don't say how long, Siri asks "For how long?". The sound fades out during the last 30 seconds, then stops. The timer also shows in the mixer.

What happens after you speak

  • Siri usually answers out loud, for example "Playing your last mix."
  • Play sentences open Berceuse. If your iPhone is locked, Siri asks you to unlock it first, with Face ID or your code.
  • Pause and the sleep timer work while your iPhone stays locked.

If Siri doesn't understand

  • Say the name slowly: "bair-suhz".
  • Check that Siri can use Berceuse: in the Settings app, tap Apps, then Berceuse, then Siri.
