Most of Veilleuse is tapping. A few places ask you to slide your finger. Here is each one.
Short answer
Tap to press a button. Put your finger down and slide it for the button with a round handle, the date wheel and closing a page. Nothing is lost if a slide does not work the first time.
Veilleuse is for iPhone.
The button with a round handle
On the first screens, the button at the bottom has a round handle on its left. Tapping it does nothing.
- Put your finger on the round handle.
- Keep your finger on the screen and slide it all the way to the right.
- Let go at the end.
If it slides back, you let go too early. Try again, slowly. If the button is pale, it is waiting: its words say what is missing, such as your baby’s name.
Turning the first screens
On the first screens you can also slide the whole screen. Slide from right to left to go on. Slide from left to right to go back.
The row of faces
On your baby’s screen, the faces are in one row. Slide the row left or right with your finger. Tap a face to choose it. Tap it again to remove it.
The date wheel
When you tap a birth date, a wheel opens with three columns: day, month and year. Put your finger on a column and slide it up or down. The line in the middle is the date chosen. Tap Done when it is right.
Pages that slide up
The week, the language, the units, a baby’s details and many others open as a page that slides up from the bottom. To close one:
- Put your finger on the top of the page and pull it down, or
- Tap the dark part of the screen above the page, or
- Tap the arrow at its top left.
The bar at the bottom
The bar at the bottom has two sides. Put your finger on the bar and slide it to the left to see Guides and Ask. Slide it to the right to come back. A short slide springs back: slide a little further.
Ticking babies
With more than one baby, saving a new entry opens a short page with each baby and a round tick. Tap a baby to tick or untick it. The last row ticks them all. Then tap the button at the bottom.
The tour
In the tour, tap only the button the guide lights up. At the last step, the guide asks you to slide the bar at the bottom to the left. Slide your finger across the screen from left to right to go back a step. Touch the screen anywhere and the guide steps away for a few seconds. The last card has a Continue button.
