When something goes wrong

ExplainedUpdated 30 October 2026

Most messages in SkipTube mean that something could not load. Your saves, your history and your settings are safe.

Short answer

Check your connection, then tap Try again on the message. If it keeps happening, close SkipTube completely and open it again.

SkipTube is for iPhone.

The offline strip

When your iPhone has no internet, a strip appears at the top of SkipTube. It says You're offline. The app moves down a little to make room for it.

The strip goes away by itself when the connection comes back. See You are offline.

A message with a button

When a list or a screen cannot load, SkipTube shows a message with Try again under it. Tap Try again. It asks again.

Each message has its own page. Look for the words you see.

The whole screen says something went wrong

Rarely, a screen cannot draw at all. It shows Error and Something went wrong loading this. Give it another try. with a Try again button. See A screen says Error.

A message that says Error

A small message with the title Error and a line under it comes from something you did a moment ago, such as a sign-out or a save. The line says what failed. Look for it in the guide for that action.

Nothing is lost

A message about loading does not delete anything. Your saved videos, history, followed channels and settings are kept with your account.

If nothing helps, close SkipTube completely and open it again. If a video is the problem, see A video does not play.
