Say the sentence and the app name. Siri saves it and answers out loud. You do not need to unlock your phone.
Short answer
Say for example "Hey Siri, wet nappy in Veilleuse" or "Hey Siri, she woke up in Veilleuse". Every sentence ends with "in Veilleuse". Siri needs iOS 17 or later.
Veilleuse is for iPhone.
How it works
Say "Hey Siri" (or hold the side button), then one of the sentences below. Every sentence names the app: "in Veilleuse". Siri saves it for the baby shown in the app, and says what it did.
It works with the phone locked, and with the app closed. Siri for Veilleuse needs iOS 17 or later. There is nothing to set up.
If Siri does not catch the name Veilleuse, say "Baby Tracker" instead: "Last feed in the Baby Tracker".
Nappies
- "Wet nappy in Veilleuse"
- "Poo in Veilleuse", "Dirty nappy in Veilleuse"
- "Wet and dirty nappy in Veilleuse"
- "Log a wet nappy in Veilleuse"
It is logged now.
Sleep
- "She's asleep in Veilleuse", "He's asleep in Veilleuse", "The baby is asleep in Veilleuse"
- "Start a sleep in Veilleuse"
The timer starts, and your lock screen shows it.
Breastfeeding
- "Feeding on the left in Veilleuse"
- "Start feeding on the right in Veilleuse"
- "Feeding on both sides in Veilleuse"
Pumping
- "Start pumping in Veilleuse", "Pumping in Veilleuse"
Started earlier
Say how long ago it started, and the timer counts from then:
- "She fell asleep 20 minutes ago in Veilleuse", "The baby fell asleep half an hour ago in Veilleuse"
- "Started feeding 10 minutes ago in Veilleuse". Siri then asks which side.
- "Started pumping 15 minutes ago in Veilleuse"
Siri knows 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 45 minutes, an hour, an hour and a half, and two hours ago. Siri says the time the timer started. A time still to come, or one before the last one of its kind ended, starts nothing, and Siri says why.
Stop a timer
- "She woke up in Veilleuse", "He's awake in Veilleuse", "The baby woke up in Veilleuse"
- "Done feeding in Veilleuse", "The feed is over in Veilleuse"
- "Done pumping in Veilleuse"
- "Stop the sleep in Veilleuse", "End the feed in Veilleuse", "Stop the pumping in Veilleuse"
Siri says how long it lasted. If you name a timer that is not running but another one is, Siri tells you which one runs and what to say to stop it.
Bath and food
- "Bath time in Veilleuse"
- "She ate in Veilleuse": Siri asks "What did the baby eat?". Say the food.
Questions
- "Last feed in Veilleuse", "When was the last feed in Veilleuse"
- "Last nappy in Veilleuse", "Last poo in Veilleuse"
- "Is she asleep in Veilleuse", "Is the baby asleep in Veilleuse"
- "Ask Veilleuse when was the last feed"
Siri answers from today and yesterday. These questions do not use your daily requests.
Anything else
Say "Tell Veilleuse". Siri asks "What happened?". Say it in your own words, for example "120 ml bottle at 4 and a wet nappy". "Tell Veilleuse" is part of the Family plan, and uses one of your family's daily requests, like the voice page. Other ways to start it: "Log that in Veilleuse", "Note in Veilleuse", "Add to Veilleuse".
Tooth brushing, in the Shortcuts app
There is no Siri sentence for tooth brushing. iOS lets an app have 10 Siri sentences, and Veilleuse uses all 10. Tooth brushing is an action in Apple's Shortcuts app instead. You make a shortcut once, then you can run it with Siri by its name. These are Apple's steps:
- Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and tap the Add button.
- Tap New Shortcut, tap Rename, type a name such as "Teeth brushed", then tap the back button.
- Tap Add Action, search for Veilleuse, then tap "Log tooth brushing".
- Tap Done.
Then say "Hey Siri, teeth brushed", or the name you chose. Siri answers Tooth brushing logged. It is logged now, for the baby shown in the app.

Undo
"Undo in Veilleuse" takes back the last thing Siri saved. It works once.
With the phone locked
Siri works on a locked phone once you have unlocked it one time since it was turned on. With no connection, Siri still saves and says No connection, it will save when you are back.
