Google's own page opens full screen. SkipTube never sees your password.
Short answer
Open Settings, tap the card at the top, then tap Sign in next to the YouTube account.
SkipTube is for iPhone.
Before you start
This is the YouTube account. It is not the SkipTube account. They are separate. See Your two accounts.
Signing in to YouTube is optional. It brings your recommendations, subscriptions and lists into SkipTube.
You can do it in the welcome, or later in Settings.
In the welcome: on the page called Bring your subscriptions, tap Sign in to YouTube.
Later:
- Tap Settings at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the card at the top. The Accounts sheet opens.
- On the YouTube account row, tap Sign in.
Then:
- A page called Sign in to YouTube opens full screen. It is Google's own page.
- Follow Google's steps. Type your email, then follow Google's button.
- Type your password.
- If Google asks for a code, type it.
- When you reach YouTube, the page closes by itself. You are back in SkipTube, signed in.

What SkipTube can see
At the top of Google's page, a note says This is Google's own page. SkipTube never sees your password, and its ad blocking is off here.
SkipTube reads your account through YouTube's page. It keeps only the results, never a cookie and never your password. No script of ours runs on Google's page.
Close the page without signing in
Tap Close. Nothing changes. You stay as you were.
After you sign in
The Accounts sheet shows your YouTube name and email. Home, Subscriptions and Library fill with your own videos.
If SkipTube cannot read your YouTube account, it does not treat you as signed out. It shows an error with Try again.
