Quick answer
How do I open a channel, and what is on its page?
Tap a channel's name or picture. You can do that under a video on Home, in a search result, in the Details of a video, or on the Watch screen. The channel opens in a panel over the screen you are on. Pull it down to close it.
The top of the page shows the channel's picture, its name, its handle and its subscribers, with a Subscribe button.
Under it, tabs split the page:
- Videos
- Shorts. This tab is missing when you set Shorts to hide.
- Playlists
Each video has its own menu. See The video menu.
Signed in to YouTube, Subscribe adds the channel to your YouTube subscriptions. Signed out of YouTube, a panel asks you to sign in, or to follow the channel in SkipTube only. Following in SkipTube needs a SkipTube account.
If a tab says Nothing here yet, the channel has nothing there. If the page says Could not load this channel, tap Try again. If a line says Could not load more, tap Try again on it.
